Meet Cheryl
Hello. My name is Cheryl, and I have joined the KASP team as a trainee placement counsellor.
I have a genuine interest in working with people and have worked in a variety of different helping roles over the years. I feel very privileged and hugely motivated to be continuing my journey with KASP.
I am currently being trained in the pluralistic framework which conceptualises counselling as a collaborative relationship within which a person who is seeking help for a problem in living, and a counsellor, work together to seek to achieve the goals of the client.
I value the uniqueness of each individual and am committed towards helping others feel empowered in their own lives. I am strongly committed towards building a therapeutic relationship based on openness and trust to create a space where clients feel valued. I feel this helps lay the foundations of a collaborative working relationship where clients can be supported in their healing journey.
My own personal interests are music, reading, travel and sport and I also enjoy exercising and spending time outdoors with my family.
