Meet Isla
Isla originally joined KASP as a counselling volunteer in 2019 and was thrilled to become a part time member of the team in January 2022.
As a qualified nurse in 2007, patient centred care has always been a top priority and over the years she has become increasingly interested in the link between mental and physical health. Specialising in critical care, Isla has a vast experiencing of working in many areas across the NHS including pain management, drug and alcohol services, renal and trauma nursing within the British Army.
As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, Isla aims to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space to help clients explore their concerns and come to a greater understanding themselves. Working from a person-centred approach, Isla aims to give the clients time and support in the hope to help them gain knowledge and understanding in different areas of their lives, and to live more in the here and now.
Isla feels honoured by the trust clients place in her and feels great privilege to work alongside clients on their journey. She feels humbled by everyone who has the courage to come to KASP and is passionate in her work.
