Meet Joyce
Hi, I’m Joyce and a new member of the Board at KASP, joining at the AGM 2025.
I am recently retired after 36 years of therapeutic practice which included establishing and developing a free professional counselling service to the community of Fife and beyond. The service offered generic counselling, working closely with partners such as KASP, FRASAC, DAPL and statutory bodies, NHS, Education, Social work etc. The Board structure was very similar to KASP, with significant value placed on the worth of each team member and their place within the organisation.
Throughout this time, I fulfilled the role of counselling manager, supervisor and in a consultancy role for a small number of agencies looking to establish a similar service. For the last 20 plus years I was also involved in the design and delivery of the CPCAB/OU qualifications, with the clear aim to provide available and accessible training to individuals committed to working in the voluntary sector.
I am very much looking forward to serving on the Board at KASP, supporting the service to continue in offering excellence in their care and compassion to clients and their families.
