Meet Fiona
I’m Fiona and I’m delighted to be a part of the team here at KASP. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred approach, I belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding when supported in a safe, non-judgmental space. I aim to create a space where people affected by domestic abuse & childhood sexual abuse can feel truly heard, respected, and empowered to explore their paths.
Before joining this team, I worked as a sessional counsellor with various third sector organisations, and with Fife Council Community learning and Development team, offering support in community-based settings developing and facilitating projects that promoted mental health and wellbeing, youth work, welfare support and social prescribing, all supporting inclusion and removing barriers to those most vulnerable. I also worked with Fife Women’s Aid for nearly 2 years, supporting women in recovery, who were impacted by domestic abuse. This experience deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of safe, empowering relationships. It is a real honour the sit with another and witness the trust placed in you and a privilege to work alongside clients in their journey.
