Meet Hamish
Hello. I am a trainee counsellor, completing a diploma in pluralistic counselling. This is a style of counselling which recognises the importance of finding the way of working together which best suits each individual person.
Before this I worked for many years in clinical research, seeing the value that new medicines could bring to treating serious illnesses. Training to be a counsellor has helped me to value the human side of healing and how providing a safe space where someone can be heard without fear or judgement can allow them to find ways through difficult times in life.
From the first day here, it was clear to me what vital work KASP does to help people. The meeting rooms are a calming and confidential space for people to talk about their problems.
