Meet Janet
Hello, my name is Janet and I feel honoured to work with KASP on student placement as a trainee counsellor.
I am studying Pluralistic Therapy at Abertay University in Dundee. Pluralistic counselling is flexible and collaborative approach that recognises everyone’s needs and experiences are unique.
I am committed to understanding a person’s unique journey and I aim to offer a safe and supportive space where someone can feel comfortable to talk at their own pace. Feeling heard, respected and understood is really important to me, and I’ll work alongside someone to figure out what feels most helpful.
I have worked in Social Care for more than thirty years and value the privilege of working with, and supporting children affected by disability and their families.
I don’t get lots of free time at the moment, but what is important to me is spending time with friends and family, reading, cinema and walking anywhere that is surrounded by nature.
