Meet John
I joined the KASP Organisation as an accredited counsellor in October 2022. When I heard some of the traumatic events described by people initially I felt quite daunted, but that subsequently changed to a feeling of awe at the sheer courage and determination to survive that each person demonstrated. They still seemed to have hope for the future and wanted it to change for the better.
Many people continue to feel unsafe even after decades have passed since the events took place. My focus is upon putting people at their ease and creating a safe place for them to unburden themselves. For this to happen, a trusting relationship is essential, where people feel truly heard and understood. I believe this is the way forward in enabling people to experience freedom from the past and healing from the deep emotional wounds inflicted upon them from years ago.
If you can find the courage within yourself to reach out for support in your suffering, by contacting KASP, you will be met with compassion and understanding, which in itself will be a huge relief.
Just for the record, my counselling experience also extends to working with those who have been bereaved ( for any number of reasons) and those struggling with alcohol issues and in need of support.
In the meantime, I would like you to know that you are not alone.
