Meet Amy
I am a trainee counsellor & work with a pluralistic aporoach meaning I don’t follow and practice using any set model, everyone is different & need different things at different times. I believe that we all have our own answers it’s just during hard times we can need a bit of a helping hand coming to realisations in order to move forward and that by exploring areas of our life that are important to us can help us to achieve this.
Outside of KASP I am a fun loving, family orientated girl who loves spending time with my family, friends boyfriend & my golden lab Rosie! I also have a love of food, the outdoors & weightlifting! There is such a link between your physical and mental health and I find the gym & the outdoors to be a great stress outlet for me.
I have a background working in mental health which I still do currently, I’ve worked in this sector for 8 years & still have just as much enthusiasm as I did the day I started. I have learnt so much from the clients I work with & continue to do so on a daily basis. We all have mental health it just takes for certain things to happen and or be triggered. Mental health is our thoughts feelings and emotions things that we all have and make us human and I believe that we should all look out for each other & do what we can to help and support each other.
