Meet Rafal
A student who joined KASP in the winter of 2023 as a placement volunteer from Fife College’s HND Counselling programme.
“The pluralistic approach is a technique I use in therapy sessions. This allows me to focus on the client’s personal experiences in as well as apply theories and techniques from the therapy literature to support clients in finding solutions that work best for them. “
Volunteering as a counsellor is important to me because I want to help people who are going through difficult times by providing a safe environment where they can talk about their experiences and how they’re feeling in an acceptable way.
As a skill, counselling has the ability to bring hope and a fresh perspective on life. I have faith in the power of therapy to change people’s lives for the better, and it would be a privilege to offer a helping hand to anyone who could benefit from my expertise in this area.
