A Day of Celebration!
As part of National Volunteers’ Week, KASP took the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution our volunteers make to the organisation and the people we support. Volunteers play a vital role in everything we do, giving their time, energy, and compassion to help make a positive difference in our community.
To celebrate the occasion, we organised a small gathering of KASP volunteers from both the counselling service and the befriending service, with a focus on wellbeing, connection and gratitude. The morning began at our office with a relaxed bingo session run by our volunteer counselling coordinator, alongside relaxing Reiki sessions delivered by our counsellor, Fiona. These sessions gave volunteers the chance to take some time for themselves, unwind and focus on their own wellbeing. This was an opportunity to pause, reflect, and enjoy some well-deserved self-care.
Afterwards, we headed to the Duchess in Kirkcaldy for lunch. The meal provided an opportunity for volunteers and staff to connect outside of the office environment, discuss experiences and enjoy each other’s company. As a small token of KASP’s appreciation, each volunteer received a thank-you gift in recognition of their ongoing commitment and contribution to KASP. While these gifts were only a small gesture, they reflected our appreciation for everything our volunteers do throughout the year.
National Volunteers’ Week is a chance to celebrate the impact volunteers have across Scotland, and at KASP we are proud to recognise the dedication, kindness, and generosity shown by our volunteers. Their support contributes heavily to the impact that KASP’s services have on our communities in Fife, and we are incredibly grateful for the difference they make.
We would also like to extend our special thanks to Fiona for providing the Reiki sessions and helping make the day a relaxing and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Thanks to Mandy and Jordan for planning and facilitating the day.
